April 2010 08/04/2010 - 09/04/2010 La Granja, Segovia, Spain The “Science against Poverty” Conference will raise the issue of the role of scientific research (particularly of social sciences) and innovation in alleviating poverty and social exclusion to the ministerial political agenda. It will bring together 200 international experts from the academia, research organisations and policy makers to come out with high level recommendations. Bristol Framework Programme 7 – NMP Call 2011 Info Day Enterprise Europe Network South West, in partnership with FP7UK and the Sensors KTN is pleased to invite you to an event to gain an overview of the upcoming fifth NMP (Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies Materials and new Production Technologies) FP7 call. The event will provide attendees with advanced notification of the call contents, how to write a proposal, as well as providing an opportunity to meet regional and national support teams and network with potential partners and experienced FP7 participants. Mike Hudson, Retired Vice Chairman Rolls-Royce North America, will be in attendance offering an invaluable insight into the U.S. sector. Industry experts from Rolls- Royce (TBC), BAE Systems and ADS Analysis will examine different options for U.S. access, and will discuss major opportunities and challenges in the market. UKTI specialists will brief the audience on UK government assistance for companies interested in entering the U.S. aerospace and defence sectors. The Indiana delegation lead by Chad Pitman, Vice President of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) will give detailed presentations about the capabilities and opportunities in the State of Indiana.
